Enhancing teacher training through e-learning

This booklet, “E-ffective teaching: transforming teacher training through e-learning” published in 2007 by the Learning and Skills Network demonstrates how e-learning can transform teacher training.

The publication includes nine case studies and a wealth of practical information about e-learning in teacher education. Each case study contains the following information: the challenge; the response; what was done; what difference it made; the lessons learned; and what will be done next.

The booklet was produced as part of the E-learning Teacher Training Transformation project, which supports the objectives of the United Kingdom Government's e-learning strategy and reform agenda for initial teacher training. Under the project, nine institutions were funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to transform an area of their teacher training curriculum through the application of e-learning.
