FORCE, Foundation for Computer Education FORCE collects old and unused computers from business organizations, tests and repairs them, and then redistributes them to schools and colleges. International Development of Computer Education (IDCE) IDCE was born in the form of a donation of three thousand sets of used computers (two thousand sets of 8-bit, one thousand sets of 16 & 32-bit personal computers) by the Kyoto Computer Gakuin (Institute) in 1989. As part of the programme, KCG sends instructors to partner countries to offer intensive courses for selected teachers from the schools and institutions which will receive or have received a computer donation. Following the initial donation and instruction phase, collaboration continues between KCG and the partner country, including further donations and student/teacher exchange programmes. TecsChange International Computer Recycling Programme This programme provides recycled computers, services of skilled volunteers, and computer training to nonprofit groups in the Boston area and around the world.
