Directory : Policy and Reform

The Education Policy and Reform (EPR) Unit (formerly the Planning and Sector Analysis (PSA) Unit) focuses on human resource development, promoting policy-oriented research at the country level and providing information and advice to governments on education system management and reform. Activities range from implementing operational research on policy-relevant topics and training, to supporting education sector analysis and reforms to improve resource management, to providing EFA planning support. Activities are undertaken in a participatory fashion to strengthen the internal capacity for research carried out by government institutions.

EPR helps Member States throughout the region mobilize resources for education and maximize their utilization by working in close partnership with UN agencies, development banks and bilateral donors. Best practices, research studies, activities and services have been delivered in the forms of publications, software packages and training materials to Member States on a continuous basis.
